International premiere of The Frost22.09.2009
The Frost is the first-ever feature film adaptation of Ibsen’s Little Eyolf. The Spanish-Norwegian co-production, directed by Ferran Audí, features Aitana Sánchez-Gijón (Rita), Trond Espen Seim (Alfred), Tristán Ulloa (Raúl), Eva Eklöf Mørkeset (Asta) and Bibi Andersson (The Widow Rat). The Frost will have its international premiere on 13 October at the Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea, where it has been selected among 11 non-Asian films to compete in the Flash-Forward Official Section.
THE FROST is a co-production between Spain’s Alta Realitat, Apuntolapospo and TV3 (Catalan Television) and Norway’s Frost Media Film, Filmfondet Fuzz and SF Norway. The action of the film begins in Geiranger, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and moves on to Ålesund in the northernmost part of Western Norway, where most of the action takes place. Some scenes have been shot in the Pyrenees in Spain.
THE FROST is film and theatre director Ferran Audí’s first feature film. He is also responsible for the script, a free and modern film adaptation of Little Eyolf. The film will be presented at the following international festivals this Autumn:
